MORTAL, the 4th album by songwriter James Curley, is a deeply personal record based on his life experiences in the decade before its recording began. That period brought profound grief from the deaths of his spouse of 37 years, his mother and a beloved niece. The decade also offered renewal of purpose, recovery from grief and the rebuilding of his life with a new marriage, new songs, and a newfound appreciation for the 'tragedy, mystery and majesty' inherent in being mortal.
